Digital Mojo is a results-driven digital marketing agency based in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Since 2016, we have been helping brands scale through performance-focused digital strategies, storytelling, lead generation, branding, and high-impact marketing campaigns.
Role Description
We are looking for a highly ownership-driven Pod Manager with 4-7 years of agency experience to lead a pod of clients end-to-end.
The Pod Manager is not a delivery coordinator. They are the business head of their pod. They own the P&L of their accounts, drive client growth strategy, lead the pod team, and are the last point of escalation before it reaches the CEO. Every commercial decision, every retention risk, every growth opportunity within the pod runs through them.
If something goes wrong in the pod, the Pod Manager owns it. If something goes right, the Pod Manager drove it.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a senior Account Manager with a fancier title
- Not someone who only reviews reports and attends calls
- Not someone who escalates client problems to the CEO without first attempting resolution
- Not a task manager or execution coordinator
- Not someone who waits for strategy to come from above
Key Responsibilities
Pod P&L Ownership
- Own the revenue, profitability, and commercial health of all accounts within the pod
- Track pod-level billing, scope utilization, and team bandwidth against revenue
- Identify accounts where the agency is over-servicing and course-correct scope or pricing
- Protect agency margins by managing team allocation and delivery efficiency
- Flag accounts at commercial risk to the Founder with a clear plan, not just a problem
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and close them in coordination with the Founder
- Own monthly pod revenue targets and report against them with clarity
Client Growth Strategy
- Go beyond delivery. Actively think about what is next for each client's business
- Develop quarterly growth plans for key accounts covering new campaigns, channels, and opportunities
- Proactively bring ideas to clients before they ask. Be the strategic voice in every client relationship
- Identify gaps in a client's current marketing mix and recommend solutions backed by data
- Lead strategic review meetings with clients, not just performance catch-up calls
- Connect client business goals to marketing strategy and keep both aligned as the business evolves
- Be the person a client calls when they want a fresh perspective, not just a status update
Escalation Leadership
- Serve as the final internal escalation point before the CEO for all pod-level issues
- Handle client escalations, conflicts, and difficult conversations directly and with confidence
- Resolve delivery failures, team gaps, and quality issues at the pod level without pushing them upward
- Make judgment calls on scope disputes, pricing conversations, and client dissatisfaction independently
- Know when to involve the Founder and walk in with context, options, and a recommendation
- Protect the Founder's bandwidth by resolving 90% of pod issues at the pod level
Team Leadership and Pod Management
- Lead and manage Account Managers, Social Media Managers, Performance Marketers, and SEO Specialists within the pod
- Set clear expectations, review output quality, and hold team members accountable
- Run pod reviews, identify underperformance early, and address it directly
- Build a culture of ownership, speed, and quality within the pod
- Identify training or skill gaps in the team and flag them to the Founder
- Ensure Account Managers are handling day-to-day client communication so the Pod Manager can focus on strategy and commercial outcomes
Delivery and Quality Oversight
- Own the quality of everything that leaves the pod, from reports to creatives to campaign performance
- Ensure all client deliverables across social media, SEO, and performance marketing are on time and to standard
- Review monthly performance reports before they reach the client
- Maintain SLA adherence across the pod and flag risks before they impact delivery
- Coordinate with centralized teams including design, SEO, website, and automation for seamless execution
Performance and Campaign Strategy
- Understand performance marketing fundamentals including CPL, ROAS, CTR, lead quality, and funnel structure
- Review campaign performance across accounts and push for optimization when results are not meeting targets
- Work with Performance Marketers on budget planning, channel strategy, and campaign direction
- Ensure SEO, social, and paid strategies are aligned and working toward the same client business outcome

Commercial Responsibility and Client Retention
- Own client retention across all pod accounts
- Conduct regular health checks on every account and know the status of each relationship at all times
- Identify at-risk clients early and create a recovery plan before it becomes a churn situation
- Manage contract renewals, scope expansions, and pricing conversations
- Track client satisfaction and act on early signals before they escalate

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in a digital marketing agency
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of agency P&L, billing, scope management, and margin control
- Deep knowledge of performance marketing, social media, SEO, and content marketing
- Experience handling client escalations and difficult commercial conversations independently
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to build and present growth plans for clients
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
- Confident in senior client-facing discussions and presentations
- Experience with project management and reporting tools
- Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Agency experience is mandatory
- Has managed a revenue-bearing portfolio of clients, not just a team of people
- Has had commercial conversations with clients around scope, pricing, and renewals
- Thinks in terms of client business growth, not just campaign delivery
- Is a problem-solver who finds solutions before escalating
- Can lead a room whether it is a team standup or a senior client strategy session
