Since 2012, we have been helping brands scale through performance-focused digital strategies, storytelling, lead generation, branding, and high-impact marketing campaigns. We are now building an aggressive new business function to fuel the next phase of agency growth.

Role Description

We are looking for a BD Sales Manager who will own new client acquisition for Digital Mojo end-to-end.

This person will prospect, pitch, follow up, and close. They will convert inbound leads generated by the BD Marketing function, build their own outbound pipeline, represent Digital Mojo in client meetings, and bring in new retainer business consistently every month.

What This Role Is Not

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting and Pipeline Building

  • Build and maintain a healthy outbound pipeline of potential clients across target industries
  • Identify and research prospect businesses in real estate, education, healthcare, retail, and other key verticals
  • Execute outreach across LinkedIn, email, WhatsApp, and phone with personalized, relevant messaging
  • Attend networking events, industry forums, and business communities to generate warm introductions
  • Build relationships with business owners, marketing heads, and decision-makers before they are ready to buy
  • Maintain a live, updated CRM with every prospect, conversation, and next step logged accurately

Inbound Lead Conversion

  • Pick up and qualify inbound leads generated by the BD Marketing function within 24 hours
  • Run discovery calls to understand prospect business goals, current marketing, and pain points
  • Assess fit and budget before investing time in a full proposal
  • Move qualified prospects through the pipeline from first conversation to signed contract efficiently
  • Maintain a clear view of inbound lead status, conversion rate, and drop-off points at all times

Pitching and Proposal Management

  • Lead client pitch meetings independently or alongside the Founder
  • Develop customized proposals in collaboration with the BD Marketing Manager and Pod Managers
  • Present Digital Mojo's capabilities, case studies, and recommended approach with confidence and clarity
  • Handle pricing conversations, scope discussions, and objections without flinching
  • Follow up on every proposal with structure and persistence until a decision is made
  • Know when to walk away from a deal that will not be commercially viable for the agency

Closing and Contracting

  • Own the deal from pitch to signed agreement
  • Negotiate commercial terms within approved parameters without discounting unnecessarily
  • Coordinate with the Founder on deal approval, pricing flexibility, and contract terms
  • Ensure a clean handover to the Pod Manager once a client is onboarded with full context and expectations documented
  • Track closed revenue monthly and report against targets with transparency

Market Intelligence and Feedback

  • Bring back consistent feedback from the market on what prospects care about, object to, and compare against
  • Share competitor intelligence with the Founder and BD Marketing Manager regularly
  • Identify patterns in why deals are won or lost and recommend adjustments to the pitch or positioning
  • Flag emerging opportunities in new industries or geographies worth pursuing

Referral and Network Development

  • Build a referral network of business owners, consultants, and partners who can introduce potential clients
  • Nurture past prospects and lost deals so they come back when the timing is right
  • Represent Digital Mojo professionally at every touchpoint knowing that every conversation is a potential deal

Sales Enablement

  • Build and maintain a library of pitch decks, proposal templates, capability documents, and one-pagers
  • Create industry-specific pitch materials for real estate, education, healthcare, and other verticals
  • Ensure the BD Sales team always has current, compelling, and accurate materials to close with
  • Develop objection-handling content, comparison documents, and ROI calculators for the sales process
  • Work closely with the Founder on refining the agency pitch based on what is winning and losing in the market

Events and Community

  • Identify and plan Digital Mojo's presence at relevant industry events, marketing summits, and business forums in Hyderabad and beyond
  • Explore co-marketing and partnership opportunities with complementary businesses
  • Build a referral and partner network that generates introductions and warm leads over time

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in B2B sales preferably in a digital marketing, advertising, or creative agency
  • Proven track record of closing new business and hitting revenue targets consistently
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing services including performance marketing, social media, SEO, and branding
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Confident and composed in pitch meetings, pricing conversations, and objection handling
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage pipelines and track deal progress
  • Ability to develop proposals and pitch decks with minimal hand-holding
  • Self-motivated with a high drive for targets and closing
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini for research and proposal support

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Has sold digital marketing or agency services to business owners and marketing decision-makers
  • Has independently closed retainer deals of 1 lakh per month and above
  • Has built an outbound pipeline from scratch without relying only on inbound
  • Understands enough about digital marketing to hold a strategic conversation with a CMO or business owner
  • Is hungry, organized, and relentless without being pushy or transactional
  • Character in sitcom is Phoebe
  • Has a network of business contacts in Hyderabad that they can activate quickly

Compensation Structure

  • Fixed salary plus performance-based incentive linked directly to new business closed
  • Incentive structure designed to reward consistent closures and high-value deals
